Career Services and Alumni Relations Coordinator (M/F)

at RIT CROATIA campus in ZAGREB

This position focuses on building strong partnerships with employers and industry, supporting students in their career development, and strengthening relationships with alumni. It involves working closely with students, faculty, companies, and alumni to improve student outcomes and build strong connections for the institution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Career Services:

Establish high-level partnerships with faculty, external stakeholders, and alumni to integrate experiential learning opportunities that align with industry demands and student career pathways.
Oversee initiatives that position career development as a core component of the student experience, driving institutional strategies that support career readiness, workforce alignment, and lifelong employability.
Develop and implement a strategic vision for the Career Services to strengthen and expand employer partnerships, industry connections, and career services offerings.
Provide and oversee co-op and employment placement opportunities for students, fostering relationships with corporate and institutional partners.
Provide and oversee career advising services, including resume writing, interview preparation, networking strategies, and job search support.
Manage and complete co-op process administration, ensuring smooth student placements and compliance with institutional policies.
Organize and execute career-related events such as Career Education Day, industry panels, guest speaker sessions, hackathons, and career development workshops to enhance student employability and industry engagement.

Alumni Relations:

Strengthen and expand Alumni activities by developing and managing Alumni engagement strategies and programs.
Plan, coordinate and execute Alumni events, networking opportunities, and mentorship programs to foster lifelong connections between the college and its graduates.
Maintain and grow the Alumni database, ensuring effective communication and outreach.
Collaborate with global campuses and the Alumni leadership team to align Alumni engagement efforts.

Leadership & Departmental Strategy:

Lead and manage the Career Services and Alumni Relations team, ensuring the successful execution of departmental initiatives.
Develop and implement policies, strategies, and metrics to assess and improve the effectiveness of Career Services and Alumni programs.
Collaborate with academic leadership, faculty, and administrative teams to integrate career development and Alumni initiatives into the student experience.

Applicant profile:

Master’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience) in Higher Education, Career Services, Business, Communications, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in HR, career services, alumni relations, employer engagement, higher education, or a related area.
Proven ability to develop and manage strategic partnerships with employers, industry leaders, and/or Alumni networks.
Experience in event planning and execution, including business networking events, career fairs, and professional development workshops.
Strong leadership and team management skills with experience overseeing a department or major initiative.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
Ability to analyze trends in employment, career development, and Alumni engagement to develop innovative initiatives.
Experience in co-op program management and career advising is a plus.
Ability to collaborate across departments and work in a global, multicultural environment.

Contract Details

Full time position with a 6 month probationary period
