Rijeka Gateway d.o.o. (RGW), a joint venture between A.P.Moller-Maersk Group through APM Terminals and ENNA Group through ENNA Logic, is reaching the final stage of the big project: building the high-tech Rijeka Gateway Terminal.

Operations Data Analyst (m/f)

Location: Rijeka

The purpose of this position is to:

Enable the optimization of data insights and analytics for the Terminal business through the provision of data assets, data services, analytical applications and reports.
Support the management of the visual reporting platform and assist with content management.
Merge business need with regards to IT environment (Customs, PCS, TAS), oversee, engage and, liaise with IT internal and external stakeholders.

Principal accountabilities:

Identify data quality issues and ensure handover to relevant departments.
Perform relevant analysis of losses encountered in day to day operations and provide insights into improvement areas to focus on.
Create terminal performances report on yearly/monthly/weekly basis.
Support various improvement / optimization by providing the voice of data.
Identify valuable insights from mathematical or statistical treatment of available data to ensure a smoother ramp up period for the terminal.
Act as a focal point in collaboration with the IT department to further develop the Business Intelligent solution.
Act as the focal person / super user promoting the self-service business intelligent solution and supporting the learning curve of the organization.
Oversee the reporting of all operational performance indicators both internally and externally.
Active role in development, implementation and maintenance of all internal and external IT integrations (Customs, PCS, Portunus, TAS, Track&Trace, Truck Driver App, etc.)
Sparring partner to the organization on future BI deliveries.
Proactively identify and create future BI solutions/Reports in corporate BI tools.
Deliver information on KPI’s and standard set of reports on overall Operation.
Maintain updated all the reporting systems.
Perform day to day administrative tasks required within role.
Oversee business related digital products and solutions.
Maintain work practices with a focus on health and safety.
Comply with the company’s HSSE regulations, policies, and practices.
Execute other tasks assigned from time to time by management or immediate supervisor related to the development or execution of the business of the company.

Reporting and Scope:

The position reports to Resource Supervisor.
The work location is Rijeka.

Critical Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

Experience:

Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.

Skills:

Possess effective analytical, numeracy, reporting and problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Power BI etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks) is a plus.
Strong knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, Power BI etc).
Excellent verbal and written language skills both in English and Croatian.

Education:

BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics is preferred.
