Maritime Center of Excellence (MCoE) is an innovation driven entrepreneurship maritime organization connecting talents, knowledge and resources within the Adriatic Sea region. Software Developer (m/f)

As a Software Developer at MCoE, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining software systems that support our research, engineering, and innovation initiatives. You’ll work across the full stack, from intuitive user interfaces to efficient backend services and databases.

Tasks and responsibilities

Work on both the user interface and the logic (back-end) behind it
Design and manage databases to store and retrieve data efficiently
Contribute to the planning of software architecture and system design in collaboration with senior developers

Write clear, reliable code for web, mobile, and desktop apps
Test your work to make sure it behaves as expected
Find and fix bugs or problems in the code
Work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers
Keep documentation up to date
Review code written by others and give helpful feedback
Follow team standards to keep the codebase clean and consistent
Make updates when needed to fix issues or improve features
Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Effective communication to collaborate with teams and explain technical concepts

Knowledge, skills and competencies

Professional experience in Full Stack development
Knowledge in .NET (C#) for backend development
Experience with Angular for frontend and mobile development
Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, or other database systems
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-based architectures
Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Commitment to clean code, documentation, and continuous learning
