For our Client we are looking for a:

DevOps Engineer (m/f)

Location: Rijeka

Are you ready to take the next step in your career and be part of an exciting DevOps team? We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Client’s dynamic R&D department in Rijeka. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies while helping to shape the future of Zenitel’s development processes.

As a key member of Zenitel’s team, you’ll be involved in:

Enhancing & Supporting their R&D Environment – Help maintain, secure, and scale Zenitel’s infrastructure to keep things running smoothly
Improving Development & Testing Workflows – Set up and manage tools that make life easier for the software and QA teams
Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving – Get hands-on with assembling PCs, configuring servers, and resolving software or hardware issues
Optimizing Performance – Monitor systems, identify potential issues, and help keep everything efficient and secure
Collaborating & Learning – Work closely with software, testing, and network engineers to improve processes and share knowledge
Creating Valuable Documentation – Standardize and document processes to make knowledge-sharing easier for the whole team

Requirements:

A technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
1-3 years of experience in DevOps, IT infrastructure, or a similar role
A basic understanding of Linux systems (Ubuntu preferred)
Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI or Jenkins
Some familiarity with Docker or Podman
Hands-on experience with Git
A problem-solving mindset and a team-first attitude
Fluency in English (spoken & written)

Bonus Points for:

A passion for hardware & server maintenance
Experience with C++, C, or Python
Knowledge of embedded Linux or other Linux distributions (Arch, Alpine, Proxmox)
Hands-on experience with virtual machines or cybersecurity
