Rijeka Gateway d.o.o. (RGW), a joint venture between A.P.Moller-Maersk Group through APM Terminals and ENNA Group through ENNA Logic, is reaching the final stage of the big project: building the high-tech Rijeka Gateway Terminal.

Facilities Supervisor (m/f)

Location: Rijeka

The purpose of this position is to:

Supervise maintenance services for buildings, air condition systems, electrical systems, water distribution systems, fire-fighting lines, waterproofing, sewage lines, drains of all buildings, yard pavement, drain cleaning, yard marking and painting, road repairs.
Develop skills and competencies of technicians under their supervision.

Principal accountabilities:

Responsible for directing team of technicians to safely and efficiently execute planned/scheduled and breakdown maintenance activities, ensuring quality of work and record keeping and safety of workplace.
Provide end to end monitoring and control of all maintenance shift related WOs.
Ensure quality of maintenance work performed, and history recorded.
High commitment on improvement projects regarding energy saving, cost reduction and safety.
Apply good work practices and CMMS skills to optimise the efficient utilisation of all human and material resources for shift working within the terminal.
Liaise with the Warehouse team to ensure the availability and timely issue of spare parts, materials and special tools, to support scheduled maintenance work.
Monitor the shift working maintenance and repair costs and KPIs, to ensure they are in compliance with the terminal plans, and flag any variances to management so that budget/ cost variations can be investigated and controlled.
Ensure compliance with APM Group values and business principle.
Maintain work practices with a focus on health and safety.
Execute other tasks assigned from time to time by management or immediate supervisor related to the development or execution of the business of the company.

Reporting and Scope:

The position reports to Asset Maintenance Manager.
The work location is Rijeka.

Critical Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

Experience:

Requires at least five years of previous experience in an operational asset maintenance or facility management related environment.
Understanding of asset maintenance planning metrics, principles, its processes and requirements.
Good working knowledge of terminal maintenance practices and principles; or specific working knowledge of buildings, roads and power generation is an advantage.

Skills:

Teamwork and good organization skills.
Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills, as well as excellent managerial skills, including planning, organizing, and directing work.
High quality awareness and ability to work with constant care.
Sensitive to cultural diversity and experience in a multicultural environment, with respect to employees.
Excellent communication skills with proficient level of English and Croatian.
